John Kosinski

Guitar

John Kosinski – “Dr. K” was proudly built in America during the late 1950’s – an era

when everything was built with a few loose screws. His loose screws have yet to be

tightened. He bought his first guitar for $25 in 1971, over his parents’ objections, by

saving money earned from cutting the neighbor’s lawn. His playing style reflects that era

of unique, self-taught guitarists. He entered the performance stage in 1975 as the

original bass player in the newly started Wall High School Jazz Band under the

legendary Les Hollander. Since then, Dr. K has earned a living as a scientist (currently

exploring the science of using AI) and has lived with occasional earnings as a musician

including guitar/vocal stylings as the Singable Memories Music Show. Musical show

credits include local productions of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,

The Boom Boom Room, and Almost Normal, and he currently serves with guitar and

voice on the Worship Team at Living Stones Church, nearby on Wickapecko Drive in

Ocean Township.
